Tricky Wondalund…

Thank you Insead, for showing up at our first Vorspiel. And to my special buddies, Gavin, Mathieu, Jason, Han, Henry, Marwan, Daphne, JJ, Christobel, for really helping to pull together the event, albeit at last minute (like all things at Insead…always expect Murphy’s Law). What started as a crazy idea in my head really turned to fruition and thanks to the fine weather, the awesome tunes spun by Jason, the atmosphere was brilliant and electrifying. It’s also quite nice to be completely drunk by 830pm - the world does look much nicer when it’s hazy The graphical work done by Han and the product design folks worked out well…and it’s probably the first time we have had graphics work at any Insead event. I will be attaching a copy of the graphical work on the vorspiel site.

Sexy lounge music was decidedly the right thing. Tons of excited people came up to me and said What a brill idea this was and that i should have been done ages ago. (I agree! hence the vorspiel). Others came up and tried to weedle Vorspiel to become a weekly affair, but once a month is probably the right attitude, any more than that and people become complacent and lazy about the event. Some others were really innovative and asked if we ought to be charging 5 euros and serve some saugsages off a barbie grill. great ideas, i love them all - but a lot of what we can do on campus…will depend on what the admin will allow us to do. my whole spiel with admin this time around has been traumatic beyond belief, but thankfully Gavin managed a large part of that, so phew! i will try not to repeat it any more than i have to. we even handed out a beer cup and asked for donations to help fund our next endevour. So, thank u to all who gave us bits and pieces of cash!

I had the opportunity to take loads of photos of folks on the grass. i put some of my fave ones here on my personal blog. the others will go on the official vorspiel site. can’t wait till the next vorspiel! love u all…

5 more hours and we see The Rakes in action tonite and off to an indie club. panting down a superb weekend and i just received a smashing new watch and skull and crossbones tee - too rad! can’t wait to throw on my new and uber cool outfit.
